What I work on
The layer I know best. These days that means full-stack TypeScript, from React interfaces to Express middleware and the data stores behind them.
Learning what the machine is actually doing beneath the abstractions I've relied on for twenty years.
The top of the stack. I use models where they add real value, like a Claude-powered pipeline that screens a thousand job listings for about a dollar.
Where it all comes together. My focus is application security, informed by knowing what's happening further down the stack.

About
I'm a software developer with twenty years of experience and a background in applied mathematics.
I'm currently pursuing an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with the goal of understanding computers end to end: hardware, software, AI, and the security concerns that run through all of them.
By day I work in a hardware-oriented role. Outside of that, I'm always open to interesting part-time full-stack projects.
